The New School Year is in Full Swing!

After a week and half we are beginning to settle into a routine in my classroom. Of course, I am still assessing and determining what my students' needs are, but I am excited about this school year and looking forward to seeing the growth my students will make. Now that I am a TpT seller, I am also wanting to keep adding products to my store.  I am still learning how to juggle my work responsibilities, my TpT store, my kids endless sporting events, and church activities. I know I have to prioritize, and am thrilled to be a part of all of those things even when it is a little hectic. With the start of school I have attended baseball games, soccer games, cheerleading events, and EVEN finished a new product. Cute Owl Reading Center

I love the calming colors of green and blue along with the brightness they bring to a classroom.  I wanted a punch of cuteness in my reading center so after finding some adorable owls made from paper lanterns on pinterest I decided I needed them too.  The paper lanterns are fairly cheap for a set of 3 from Hobby Lobby.  I also wanted to bring in a rustic element with the stick.  My students love them but think they look more like Angry Birds.  My books weren't quite organized in one picture, but you can get the idea.

New McGraw Hill Wonders materials are ready for 2nd Grade Teachers

I have just completed this set of vocabulary words including definitions, high frequency word cards, and spelling word cards.  They are a great addition to any 2nd grade classroom using the Wonders reading series.  As the year progresses, I will complete the other units for the rest of the year.  My students will start in a little over a week, and I feel prepared with all of my unit 1 materials ready to go.
