The Adventure Begins
Welcome to my blog and first post. I am hoping to make this an experience for my students to learn about the world and people around them. My vision is to provide them with a resource for learning geography from our followers while also applying math skills through data collection and interpretation. Of course we may explore other educational opportunities as well. This week we invite you to take our poll on your favorite school subject. So join us, follow us, and leave comments when you feel like it. Don't forget to tell us where you are from so we can locate it on our map.

Hey Christi! I don't know if the poll for the favorite school subject is over - it probably is since I don't see anything here! I have to say, mine was Math. It actually still is since I teach it at a local college! I particularly like statistics, which is what your students are doing with the poll! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteSince I'd love to be your student's favorite, may I suggest doing the m&m study? Take out a package of M&Ms and sort them by color. Then count them and graph each color. Finally, EAT them! (Just be sure not to sneak any before your graph is done.) Afterwords you can tell them they did a college exercise!
By the way, I live in Dallas, Texas and will be moving next month to a small town called Nacogdoches,Texas.
